Katsina Economic Council Holds Town Hall, Stakeholders Engagement on Growth, Development

Towards ensuring economic growth and development, the Katsina State Economic Council is to hold a Townhall and Stakeholders Engagement event, scheduled to take place virtually from March 27th to 29th, 2024.

The event is aimed at fostering active participation and engagement from stakeholders in shaping policies that would drive economic growth and development in Katsina State.

Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Katsina state in a statement made available to newsmen in Katsina on Tuesday, said during the three-day event, discussions and presentations will focus on priority economic sectors of the state.

According to him, the economic sectors include Solid Minerals, Industry & Trade, ICT, Sports, Tourism, Creative Economy, SDGs, Inclusive Economy, Power & Energy Systems, Climate Change and MSME Policy.

It added that, stakeholders, policymakers and experts would lead interactive sessions, providing insights and seeking feedback from participants.

“The Townhall and Stakeholders Engagement will provide a platform for stakeholders to share their perspectives, experiences, and recommendations for policy development. This inclusive approach ensures that policies reflect the needs and aspirations of the people of Katsina State, promoting sustainable economic growth and prosperity”.

It stated that, participants can join the virtual meetings from the comfort of their homes or offices by scanning the QR code or visiting the provided link. Active participation from all stakeholders is encouraged to ensure that the policies developed are comprehensive and impactful.

However, the statement maintained that, for those unable to attend the event, the policies developed would be made available for download. Stakeholders can access the policies and provide feedback by scanning the QR code or visiting the designated link. This is to ensure that all stakeholders have the opportunity to contribute to the policy development process.
